Dr. Michael Spann ranks among the few surgeons who have a double board certification, both in general and plastic surgery. Dr. Spann’s board certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery was achieved only after he had completed five years in general surgery, followed by two years in plastic surgery, and another 18 months of intensive testing and practice evaluation.
